Live-In Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Sutter Creek, CA
Pay: $18–$20 per hour · Type: Part-time, live-in · Hours: 20–30 per week
About Us
We are a small, family-style 4-bed Adult Residential Facility in Sutter Creek serving adults with developmental disabilities. We focus on helping residents build independence in a calm, home-like setting. If you want meaningful one-on-one work instead of a large facility, this is it.
What You'll Do
- Support residents with daily living skills: hygiene, meals, and household routines
- Assist residents with self-administration of medications and keep accurate records (training provided)
- Prepare meals following the facility menu and food-safety guidelines
- Keep the home clean, safe, and organized
- Drive residents to appointments and community outings in the facility vehicle
- Write daily notes and incident reports, and follow each resident's individual program plan
Schedule & Housing
- Flexible, 3-5 workdays per week
- On workdays, you'll have a set work schedule, off-duty time, and a designated 8-hour sleep period. Any overnight interruptions are paid.
- Your days off are fully yours. Other staff cover the home, and you're free to come and go.
- Private bedroom, private bathroom, plus meals on-site provided
Requirements
- 18 or older
- Criminal record clearance (Live Scan) after a conditional offer
- TB test and health screening
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to get it before your first shift
- Willingness to complete required DSP training program
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable, patient, and comfortable working independently
Preferred
- Experience in an ARF, group home, or with adults with developmental disabilities
- Experience assisting with medications
