Assembler in Training - Entry Level Manufacturing | Henderson, NV
Nexeo Staffing is hiring Assemblers in Training for a leading U.S. manufacturer of CNC machine tools and automation solutions in Henderson, NV.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to get into manufacturing, mechanical assembly, production, or machine building. Previous assembly experience is not required. We are looking for dependable, hands-on individuals who can follow instructions, learn new processes, and are comfortable using basic tools and working in a production environment.
Candidates with experience in warehouse, production, construction, automotive, mechanical work, kitting, material handling, general labor, or similar hands-on positions are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Learn to assemble parts and components in a manufacturing environment.
- Read and follow electronic work instructions using an iPad.
- Follow daily and weekly production schedules.
- Pull, organize, and package parts and materials for assembly (kitting).
- Connect and assemble small parts and components.
- Assist with basic wiring and panel/enclosure assembly.
- Move materials and wash or clean parts as required.
- Pack and clean completed components.
- Learn to properly use hand tools, gauges, torque tools, and production equipment.
- Identify potential problems and report quality or production concerns.
- Operate or learn to operate material-handling equipment such as carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, and stacker lifts.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
Qualifications
- No previous assembly experience required.
- 0-1 year of manufacturing, warehouse, production, mechanical, or related experience is helpful but not required.
- Comfortable working with your hands and learning to use basic tools.
- Ability to read and follow written, verbal, and electronic work instructions in English.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
- Comfortable using an iPad or similar electronic device.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Reliable attendance and ability to report to work on time.
- Must be available for overtime and Saturdays when production demands require it.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Helpful but not required:
- Basic understanding of nuts, bolts, screws, fasteners, or threads.
- Familiarity with torque wrenches or basic hand tools.
- Experience reading a Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Previous production, warehouse, assembly, automotive, construction, or mechanical experience.
- Frequently stand, walk, reach, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Frequently lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.; heavier lifting may occasionally be required with appropriate assistance or equipment.
- Comfortable working on a manufacturing/production floor around machinery and moving mechanical equipment.
- Ability to work in a loud industrial environment.
Pay
$21.00 per hour
Schedule
Full Time | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:40 PM
