About this position
Company Description LTT Partners is a full-service technology partner focused on delivering tailored, end-to-end solutions that help businesses succeed. Since 2018, the company has supported organizations across the United States in navigating a rapidly changing technology landscape. LTT Partners provides expert strategy, design, implementation, and ongoing support across key technology domains. Team members collaborate closely with clients to solve complex challenges and drive sustainable growth through technology-enabled innovation.
We run lean and take our work seriously. Our primary vendor partners include Verkada and Meter. We're boots-on-the-ground installers with real project complexity, real subcontractors, and real client relationships to manage.
Role Description The Electrical Department Manager will serve full-time, as our primary mobile field leader across active commercial installation sites. This is an active, floating field role designed for a trade leader who thrives operating out of their vehicle, working directly alongside installation teams, and keeping job sites moving safely and efficiently.
You will own site walks, capture field photos, validate site readiness, and partner with Technical Project Managers (TPMs) to confirm estimated install days before projects mobilize. On site, you'll act as the key escalation point for field technicians, keeping apprentices, LEAs, and sub-tier partners aligned on quality, safety, and productivity.
An active Oregon Limited Energy Technician license (LEA) is required to lead field work, mentor junior installers, and ensure code compliance across all jobs.
What You'll Do
Site Walks & Pre-Install Validation
- Own 100% of physical site walks across regional project locations: take site photos, inspect pathways, evaluate headend spaces, and document field conditions.
- Hand off complete site walk data to Technical Project Managers (TPMs) so they can build accurate scopes, BOMs, and technical designs.
- Review proposed project labor plans and confirm estimated installation days prior to bid submission.
Mobile Field Leadership & Escalations
- Operate as a floating field leader across active job sites, providing hands-on support, quality checks, and real-time problem-solving.
- Serve as the direct technical escalation path for field teams: Apprentices escalate to LEAs; LEA Lead Technicians escalate directly to you.
- Keep TPMs informed of field progress, site delays, material shortages, or necessary scope adjustments.
Job Site Execution & Quality Assurance
- Direct and mentor field crews, stage job site materials, assign daily tasks, and set productivity targets.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, riser diagrams, and elevation specs to ensure compliance with low-voltage code and manufacturer standards.
- Oversee structured cabling (Cat6/6A, fiber), access control, cloud surveillance, and pathway construction (conduit, J-hooks, high-bay lift work).
- Drive clean project closeouts: verify cable labeling, complete punch lists, photos and ensure job sites are left clean and client-ready.
Safety & Field Operations
- Enforce job-site safety protocols, OSHA compliance, PPE requirements, and safety meetings.
- Manage vehicle stock and specialty tools across the install division.
- Provide feedback to estimating and management on actual installation hours versus budgeted units.
Requirements
- Active Oregon Limited Energy Technician license (LEA or LEB) required.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in commercial low voltage, electrical, access control, CCTV, or structured cabling trades, with at least 3 years in a field supervisory, foreman, or field operations management role.
- Proven ability to manage multi-tech field crews across concurrent regional commercial job sites.
- Expert knowledge of low-voltage code, pathway design, conduit bending, high-bay lift operation, and structural penetration methods.
- Demonstrated commitment to job-site safety, OSHA standards, and quality assurance.
- Proficiency with digital field tools, mobile project management applications, and basic spreadsheet tracking.
- Based in the Central Oregon or Portland Metro area, with a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regionally across Oregon and Washington.
Nice to Have
- Washington EL06 license or reciprocal license qualification.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Hands-on installation experience with Verkada, Meter, Meraki, Openpath/Avigilon, or Lenel platforms.
- Lift certification (Scissor Lift / Articulating Boom Aerial Platform).
- Background working in a fast-paced, high-growth commercial technology contractor environment.
- NICET III
Why LTT Partners
