LEAD LINE COOK — FIG TREE VENICE

Fig Tree is an oceanfront restaurant in Venice, serving market-inspired cuisine from breakfast through dinner. Our goal is simple: to create the best seaside café experience Los Angeles has to offer.

We’re looking for an exceptional Lead Line Cook to join our team. This is a weekday and weekend position, with regular shifts 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, plus opportunities for overtime.

This is more than a position on the line. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about this industry, interested in developing their leadership skills, and wants to grow every day. 

You should be comfortable working in a high-volume kitchen, but more importantly, you should have the mindset to help make the entire kitchen better. You’ll lead with strong organization, maintain high standards, help train and develop other cooks, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for the quality and execution of service.

• Has strong line-cook experience and can confidently handle high-volume service
• Takes ownership of the success and standards of the kitchen
• Has a team-first mentality and naturally helps those around them succeed
• Is self-motivated and doesn't need to be constantly directed
• Takes pride in consistency, cleanliness, organization, and execution
• Cares deeply about the guest experience
• Can stay calm, focused, and productive under pressure
• Wants to learn the business beyond their station
• Is interested in taking on increasing responsibility
• Has the confidence to lead while remaining willing to learn
