About this position
Our client, a global fraud prevention, risk management, and payment gateway platform, is seeking a Chief Privacy/AI Officer with at least 10-15 years of experience to join their in-house legal team. This role will assist in developing and executing the organization’s global data privacy and AI implementation strategy, ensuring compliance while enabling innovation and business growth. This role is fully REMOTE with minimal travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal counsel on global privacy, data security, and AI-related matters
- Advise stakeholders on privacy, data protection, and AI laws, regulations, and guidance
- Counsel on privacy, cybersecurity, and AI-related incidents, including incident response support
- Review, draft, and negotiate privacy, data security, and AI contract terms, including DPAs, data transfer agreements, and AI addendums
- Manage outside counsel within budget guidelines
- Advise on AI governance, model use, and ethical AI frameworks
- Partner with Compliance to develop privacy and AI training, communications, and awareness programs
- Serve as the primary contact for supervisory authorities and data subjects
- Oversee DPIAs, LIAs, and Transfer Impact Assessments
- Support Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) completion by providing documentation guidance
- Assist with timely reporting of personal data breaches to regulators and affected individuals
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary : $200,000 - $240,000+
- Annual Bonus Target : 20%
