Experienced Journeyman Electrician / Advanced Apprentice Electrician
Location: League City, TX – Greater Houston & Galveston Areas
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25.00–$45.00 per hour
Experience: 5+ years Journeyman experience or 7+ years Apprentice experience
Job Description
Ace Electric is seeking experienced, dependable, and skilled electricians to join our growing team. We specialize in commercial, residential, and light industrial electrical installations, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
We are looking for individuals with strong hands-on electrical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
We value proven field experience and practical electrical knowledge. Applicants with extensive electrical experience who have not obtained their Journeyman license are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial, residential, and light industrial electrical installations and repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, circuits, panels, and equipment.
- Install conduit, conductors, panelboards, transformers, switchgear, and service equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform electrical service calls, upgrades, and equipment replacements.
- Follow NEC requirements and applicable electrical safety standards.
- Maintain professional communication with customers and coworkers.
- Work efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship and jobsite safety.
- Assist with training less-experienced electricians as permitted by applicable licensing requirements.
Qualifications
Journeyman Electricians
- Current Texas Journeyman Electrician license.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical field experience.
- Strong installation and troubleshooting capabilities.
Advanced Apprentice Electricians
- Current Texas Apprentice Electrician registration.
- Minimum 7 years of verifiable electrical field experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical systems and installations.
- Journeyman license not required.
- Must work under supervision as required by TDLR.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license required.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Acceptable driving record for operating company vehicles.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Professional appearance and respectful attitude.
- Ability to travel to assigned jobsites throughout Greater Houston and Galveston.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew, within applicable licensing and supervision requirements.
- Must provide and maintain appropriate personal hand tools.
Preferred Experience
- Commercial electrical construction and service.
- Three-phase electrical distribution.
- Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Conduit bending and installation.
- Panelboards, transformers, and switchgear.
- Electrical service entrances and upgrades.
- Generator installations and electrical connections.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Pay: $25.00–$45.00
- Starting pay determined by experience, licensing, and demonstrated technical abilities.
- Experienced apprentices may qualify for higher wages based on their field capabilities.
