A-Line Staffing is now hiring Test Technician 1, Instruments in Sparks, MD. The Test Technician 1, Instruments would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.
Test Technician 1, Instruments Compensation: pay is $28.00/hr. Benefits after 90 days. 401(k) w/ match after 1 year.
Test Technician 1, Instruments Highlights: contract assignment with potential to hire based on attendance/performance/business needs. Required availability: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (on-site) (overtime as needed).
Responsibilities:
- Perform production assembly operations plus system analysis, testing, and performance optimization
- Troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, and/or software issues on test equipment
- Analyze test results to determine pass/fail and implement solutions for failures
- Identify defects and recommend process/design improvements
- Read/interpret drawings and work instructions; maintain workmanship standards
- Train/mentor associates on mechanical and testing activities as needed
- Follow safety/quality policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area; support basic material handling as needed
Requirements:
- AA degree in mechatronics (or related) AND 0+ years experience OR 5+ years experience in electronic/mechanical/software troubleshooting
- Ability to read/understand drawings and work instructions; solid mechanical aptitude (hand tools, torque tools, gauges, etc.)
- Basic PC skills (Windows environment)
- Strong math/analytical skills; ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently
- High School Diploma/GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting testing of moderately complex instruments
- Continuous improvement / lean manufacturing mindset (Kaizen, process improvement activities)
- Leadership/mentoring experience and strong communication skills
