Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $55-$61 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a busy outpatient primary care practice serving patients across the lifespan, including both adults and children.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of advanced practice experience, experience in both adults and pediatrics, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform histories and physical examinations
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Manage chronic conditions and provide preventive care
- Provide patient and family education
- Care for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
- Prescribe and manage medications
- Coordinate referrals and care with specialists and other healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the clinical team
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-volume setting
- Current, active Virginia NP or PA license
- Minimum 2 years experience in an advanced practice role
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine
- Experience treating both adults and pediatrics
- Strong clinical assessment and independent decision-making skills
- Ability to manage a busy patient schedule efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Patient-centered approach and excellent bedside manner
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a clinical team
- eClinicalWorks experience is preferred but not required
- M-F, 8-5
