Mover Helper / White-Glove Delivery Associate – Full-Time
Pay: $17.75–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience
Location: Bronx, NY
Shift: Monday–Friday, morning shifts
Work setting: In person
About the Role
An established moving and storage company serving New York City is seeking an experienced Mover Helper
This is a customer-facing, physically demanding position for someone who takes pride in protecting customers’ belongings and providing professional service. The ideal candidate is upbeat, dependable, punctual, and interested in building a long-term career with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Safely lift, carry, load, and unload furniture, boxes, and other household or commercial items
- Wrap, pack, and protect furniture and valuables for transportation
- Assist with white-glove residential and commercial moves
- Greet customers professionally and provide courteous service throughout each move
- Inspect packages and items for damage or discrepancies
- Repackage, label, organize, and store goods properly
- Use moving equipment, including pump jacks and hand trucks
- Work efficiently with drivers, warehouse managers, and moving crews
- Keep trucks, equipment, and warehouse areas clean and organized
- Arrive on time and remain productive throughout the scheduled shift
Required qualifications
- Previous professional moving, storage, furniture delivery, or closely related experience
- Ability to safely perform frequent heavy lifting throughout the workday
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and time-management skills
- Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude
- Careful attention to detail when handling customers’ belongings
- Stable and dependable employment history
- Basic computer skills
- Interest in learning, taking on additional responsibilities, and growing with the company
Preferred qualifications
- Previous white-glove moving or delivery experience
- Experience wrapping and packing furniture, artwork, or fragile items
- Experience using pump jacks and other moving equipment
- Experience working in high-end residential or commercial environments
