Electronics Assembly & Repair Technician

Location: Lincolnshire, IL (Buffalo Grove area)
Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift or Second Shift
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Job Overview

We are seeking dependable, hands-on Electronics Assembly & Repair Technicians to join our production team in the Buffalo Grove area. We have openings on both first shift and second shift.

This position is ideal for individuals with experience in electronics assembly, manufacturing, production, or mechanical assembly who enjoy working with tools, handling components, and performing hands-on work.

The primary focus is assembling, disassembling, replacing components, inspecting, and refurbishing electronic products by following established work instructions and procedures. Training on our specific products and processes will be provided.

Please note: This is an assembly and production-focused position, not an IT support, help desk, or computer networking role.

Available Shifts

• First Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM
• Second Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:45 PM–12:15 AM

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble electronic products, replace components, and perform basic repairs or refurbishment.
• Use hand tools and follow established work instructions, assembly procedures, and production guidelines.
• Inspect finished products, perform basic functional checks, and document completed work.
• Maintain production quality, meet productivity expectations, and keep the work area clean and safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in electronics assembly, electrical or mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or production is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable using hand tools and working with small components, with good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written instructions, use basic computer systems for documentation, and work reliably both independently and as part of a team.

Ideal Candidate Backgrounds

• Electrical or electronics assembly and component replacement.
• Manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or production-line work.
• Product refurbishment, rework, or quality inspection.
