About this position

Mid-Michigan drivers: Midwest regional runs that keep you within about 400 miles of home, with home time every weekend.

Brand new CDL? This fleet trains drivers fresh out of school, and pays one of the highest training rates in the country.

What you earn

  • $1,000 to $1,500 average weekly gross
  • $900 a week while you train
  • $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
  • $15 stop pay
  • $40 extra on loads under 51 miles
  • 1,600 to 2,000 miles a week

The route

Loads run through Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois, and keep you within about 400 miles of home. Drop and hook, preloads, and some live loads and unloads. Day and night dispatches, and you reset at home on the weekend.

What new drivers ask us

  • “Will I be gone for weeks?” No. You stay in the Midwest and come home every weekend.
  • “What if my first weeks solo are slow?” For 3 months your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.
  • “Does my CDL school count?” If it was 120 hours or more, yes.

How you get started

  • A recruiter calls and reviews your license and record with you first.
  • Orientation near Detroit, 2 days at most, hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, $300 once hired.
  • 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor, paid $900 a week.
  • Then your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average.

Who can apply

  • Class A CDL, 21 or older
  • 120 hour CDL school certificate, or 6 months of recent experience
  • No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no DUI/DWI in 10
  • DOT physical and drug screening (hair and urine)
  • Live within 100 miles of the Detroit terminal

After 30 days: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), stock purchase plan, paid vacation, and a free online degree for you and one family member.
