About the Role
ANFISA Skin is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our team. This position is integral to upholding our company's uncompromising standards for product quality, safety, and consistency through rigorous physical inspection and process auditing. This is a fully hands-on, floor-based role focused on production-line integrity rather than laboratory analysis. The responsibilities of this role are subject to revision based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Raw Material Management
- Responsible for the inspection and disposition (acceptance, hold, or rejection) of all incoming packaging and ingredient raw materials. This role requires maintaining meticulous records in ERPNext and ensuring all materials are physically organized and segregated according to their inspection status.
- Verify incoming raw materials meet established specifications by sending samples to external labs for testing on a representative basis, or by reviewing and approving supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Maintain accurate, organized records and ensure full traceability of all materials following Good Documentation Practices.
2. In-Process Quality
- Perform routine in-process quality checks, including fill volume verification to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Collect samples at critical stages of production for internal testing, external analysis, and retain purposes, ensuring product consistency and safety.
3. Finished Product Quality Control
- Perform comprehensive final inspections of finished goods, verifying conformance to sensory specifications (appearance, odor, color) and packaging integrity standards.
- Coordinate the submission of batch samples to third-party laboratories for required external batch testing.
- Maintain meticulous records of all quality control activities, promptly identifying and escalating any process deviations or out-of-specification (OOS) results.
- Perform non-conforming material inspection and disposition.
4. Technical Operations and Verification
- Perform routine validation on laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure all pre-production start-up checks are completed prior to the commencement of compounding activities.
- Participate in cleaning validation activities and assist with additional quality-related projects as needed.
5. Investigations
- Contribute to investigations of OOS results and quality deviations in collaboration with the Quality and Compliance team.
- Participate in the investigation and root cause analysis of customer complaints related to product quality and safety with the Quality and Compliance team.
7. Continuous Improvement Involvement
- Author and refine SOPs (standard operating procedures) to standardize QC workflows and ensure departmental scalability.
- Demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic, high-growth environment, adapting to evolving regulatory requirements and production scaling.
- Assist in the rollout and training of new quality policies, ensuring seamless integration into daily production operations.
Requirements
- 1 year minimum experience as QC or an operator on a production line
- High School Diploma or Associate Degree required. Technical certifications in Quality or Manufacturing are a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 35 lbs as required for sampling and line inspections.
- Proficiency in using basic measurement tools (digital scales, pH meters, calipers) and completing batch records and logs.
