Location: Dream Rooftop Grill, Dream Hollywood, 6417 Selma Ave, Hollywood, CA 90028 Department: Food & Beverage, Front of House Reports To: General Manager / Floor Manager Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule: Morning and night shifts available; weekend availability required Compensation: $25.00/hour

About the Role

Dream Rooftop Grill is seeking a polished, welcoming Host to be the first face guests see when they arrive. You'll set the tone for the entire dining experience, greeting guests warmly, managing seating and wait times, and keeping the front of house running smoothly in a lively, high-energy Hollywood setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional, and upbeat attitude
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists, and quote accurate wait times
  • Seat guests efficiently and rotate seating across server sections to keep service balanced
  • Communicate with servers, bartenders, and managers about table availability, VIPs, and guest needs
  • Answer phones and respond to guest questions about the menu, hours, and the hotel
  • Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entrance area
  • Support servers and bussers during busy periods as needed
  • Handle guest concerns with care and escalate to a manager when necessary
  • Follow all uniform and grooming standards (smart casual attire)
Qualifications
  • Prior hosting or guest-facing hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable using a POS or reservation system (Toast POS)
  • California Food Handler Card required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Ability to work morning and night shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Polished, friendly, and professional presence
Schedule & Compensation
  • Part-time, with both morning and night shifts available
  • Weekend availability required
  • $25.00/hour
