We’re a team that believes in working hard, moving fast, and caring deeply. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for people who share our commitment to excellence, take pride in their work, and want to be part of what we’re building.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist who takes pride in keeping things accurate, organized, and running efficiently.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and inventory-related processes that keep our fulfillment operations running smoothly. You’ll work with both warehouse management systems and physical inventory to solve problems, improve efficiency, and ensure our team has what it needs to deliver exceptional service.

The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and naturally organized. Someone who doesn’t just spot problems, but enjoys figuring out why they happened and how to prevent them.

What You’ll Do

Inventory Control & Accuracy

  • Perform daily cycle counts across picking locations, storage bins, and bulk inventory using ShipHero WMS.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and make accurate, authorized inventory adjustments.
  • Identify patterns and opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and prevent recurring issues.

Warehouse Organization & Optimization

  • Analyze product movement and SKU velocity to optimize inventory placement and improve picking efficiency.
  • Organize and adjust warehouse storage locations to maximize space and maintain efficient inventory flow.
  • Coordinate inventory placement for new client onboarding, seasonal products, and high-volume promotions.

Inventory Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor aging, slow-moving, and excess inventory to identify opportunities to improve space utilization.
  • Partner with our Client Success team to coordinate appropriate next steps for aging or obsolete client inventory.
  • Use inventory data and reporting to identify trends, resolve issues, and recommend operational improvements.

Packaging Supplies & Purchasing

  • Manage inventory levels and replenishment of essential packaging supplies, including boxes, mailers, labels, and tape.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels to prevent supply shortages and interruptions to fulfillment operations.
  • Work with vendors and operations leadership to improve purchasing efficiency, negotiate competitive pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or inventory reconciliation within a warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment environment.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory management software.
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for inventory tracking, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume 3PL or e-commerce fulfillment environment.
  • Familiarity with ShipHero WMS.
  • Experience with inventory slotting, SKU velocity analysis, or warehouse space optimization.
  • Experience with packaging supply purchasing or vendor management.
  • Forklift, reach truck, or order picker certification, or willingness to become certified.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Comfortable working in an active warehouse environment and operating material-handling equipment following appropriate training and certification.
