Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality Technician to support manufacturing operations by ensuring products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards. This is a hands-on manufacturing quality role working closely with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, industrial, automation, or similar, with strong blueprint reading, inspection, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
  • Use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Document inspection results, nonconformances, product dispositions, and inventory holds in SAP.
  • Identify and investigate quality issues and support containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Work with suppliers on nonconforming material, returns, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain calibration records and coordinate equipment calibration and repairs.
  • Support PPAP, AGV pre-shipment inspections, internal audits, and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Analyze quality data and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to resolve production quality issues and minimize disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Previous Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, or similar manufacturing quality experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
  • Experience using precision measurement equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

  • Automotive or industrial manufacturing experience.

  • GD&T knowledge.
  • PPAP and AIAG quality tools.
  • Root-cause analysis and corrective action experience.
  • ISO 9001 experience.
  • Calibration program experience.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who understands quality on the manufacturing floor and is comfortable working directly with production and engineering. Candidates whose experience is primarily laboratory or incoming inspection are less aligned with the role. A Quality Engineer with strong hands-on manufacturing experience may also be considered.
