Paint Technician | Liberty, NC
$20.00–$25.00/hr DOE + Attendance & Safety Incentives | 1st Shift | Full-Time
ProTrade is hiring an experienced Paint Technician for a leading trailer manufacturer in Liberty, NC — offering strong starting pay, 1st shift hours, and a full benefits package.
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM | Overtime available Friday & Saturday
Pay:
- $20.00–$25.00/hr to start based on experience
- +$0.50/hr after 90 days (attendance & safety)
- +$0.50/hr after 6 months (attendance & safety)
- +$1.00/hr Military Service Premium (DD214 required, 2+ years active duty, honorable discharge)
What You’ll Be Doing:
Safely clean, prime, and paint metal components to a high-quality, consistent finish using pressure pots, cup guns, and paint kitchen systems. You’ll prepare trailers for paint, operate overhead cranes and forklifts, perform touch-up work on finished units, and maintain a clean, organized work area — all while following strict PPE and safety guidelines including respirator use.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment paint processing, OR a certified trade school/technical degree in a paint-related field
- Experience with pressure pots, cup guns, and paint kitchens
- Must be medically certified (or able to be certified) to wear a respirator
- Ability to read factory orders, blueprints, schematics, or work tickets
- Able to read a tape measure to 1/16" and perform basic math
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for up to 10 hours
Preferred:
- 8+ years of paint processing experience
- Knowledge of paint properties and paint systems
- Forklift & overhead crane experience
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements
