Immigration Attorney – Hybrid (Silver Spring, MD)
Our growing immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Attorney to join our team in a hybrid role based in Silver Spring, Maryland.
We are a fast-paced, client-focused practice handling complex immigration matters, including removal defense, asylum, family-based immigration, waivers, federal litigation, and humanitarian cases. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, confident litigator, and capable of independently managing a demanding caseload while mentoring junior attorneys and legal staff.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients before the Immigration Court and USCIS
- Handle complex removal defense matters, including asylum, CAT, cancellation, and waivers
- Prepare and litigate motions, briefs, and appeals before EOIR and the BIA
- Conduct client consultations and develop case strategy
- Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff
- Participate in federal district court litigation, including mandamus and APA actions (preferred)
- Maintain high standards of client communication and case management
Qualifications
- Two plus years experience in immigration law
- Significant Immigration Court experience required
- Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage litigation-heavy caseloads
- Federal litigation experience strongly desired
- Maryland and Virginia bar admissions are a huge plus
- Spanish language fluency is a major plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 – $175,000, depending on experience
