TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon for locum tenens coverage in Greenville, North Carolina. This opportunity involves providing clinical care for a high-volume plastic surgery service at a Level I Trauma Center, with a focus on complex reconstructive trauma, hand surgery, and craniofacial trauma. The ideal candidate will have current or recent experience taking call at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center and an active practice in reconstructive plastic surgery.

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide inpatient and emergency department care for plastic and reconstructive surgery patients.
Manage complex reconstructive trauma cases involving the upper and lower extremities, hand, and craniofacial structures.
Perform general plastic and reconstructive surgery, including breast and body procedures.
Evaluate and manage primary patients and surgical consultations.
Provide surgical coverage for adult and pediatric trauma patients.
Collaborate with trauma, acute care surgery, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, and other surgical subspecialties.
Patient Volume & Surgical Activity
Inpatient Census: 10+ primary patients and consultations
Average Weekend Admissions: 2+; primarily consultations with some primary admissions
Surgical Cases: 2+ per weekend, typically fewer than 10
ICU Responsibilities: None
Code Response: Not required
Procedures & Clinical Expertise
The physician should be experienced in the following areas:
Complex Facial Trauma Reconstruction: Adult and pediatric soft-tissue and skeletal reconstruction involving the upper face, midface, mandible, and coverage of cranial defects.
Complex Upper Extremity Trauma Reconstruction: Adult and pediatric soft-tissue reconstruction involving tendons, peripheral nerves, vascular structures below the elbow, and burns, as well as skeletal reconstruction involving the distal radius, wrist, and hand.
Complex Lower Extremity Reconstruction: Adult and pediatric soft-tissue reconstruction.
General Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery: Breast and body procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Board certification in Plastic Surgery through the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).
Active North Carolina medical license required.
Current or recent experience taking call at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
Active clinical practice in reconstructive plastic surgery, particularly trauma involving the upper and lower extremities, hand surgery, and craniofacial trauma.
Experience in general plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Practice Environment
High-volume plastic surgery and reconstructive trauma service.
Strong operating room and specialist support from multiple surgical subspecialties.
Inpatient and emergency department coverage with no outpatient clinic, ICU, or code-response responsibilities.
