Who doesn't love being home for dinner? / ¿Quién no quisiera estar en casa a tiempo para la cena?Join the opening kitchen crew at Turning Point's brand-new University City restaurant. You'll learn all three of our stations (Lunch, Egg and Expo) and help set the standard for our kitchen from day one. Paid training starts in early-to-mid November, in English or Spanish.
What you'll do
- Cook every dish to Turning Point spec on the Lunch, Egg (flattop) and Expo stations. You'll be cross-trained on all three
- Set up your station, pull and date prep, and knock out priority prep first
- Follow every recipe, portion and plate standard. Recipes are in English OR Español
- Keep your station clean and food-safe during the rush, not just after it
- Help prep and pack catering orders
- Break down, clean and restock your station at close. We "close to open"
What we're looking for
- 1+ year of line cook experience; breakfast/egg or high-volume brunch is a big plus
- Comfortable with a fast pace, high heat and lifting heavy product
- Weekends required (our busiest days); holidays as scheduled
- 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
- English or Spanish: hablamos inglés y español
What we offer
- $18–$21/hr based on experience
- Day shifts only: we close at 3pm every day
- Paid training, in English or Spanish
- Trade and pick up shifts in our scheduling app (manager-approved)
- Catering from day one, and real room to move up at a new location
Sample schedule
- Opening: about 7am–4pm
- Late open / close: about 8:30am–4:00pm
- Weekends required; holidays as scheduled
About Turning Point
Turning Point is an award-winning, daytime-only breakfast, brunch & lunch restaurant with 30+ locations across NJ, PA, DE, VA and FL. Our University City restaurant opens in late November 2026, near SEPTA's 40th St El station. We're open 7:30am–3:00pm every day, so our team never works nights.
