SUMMARY: The Industrial Electrician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, machinery, controls, and facility infrastructure through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations. This position supports production by diagnosing and resolving electrical issues involving PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and low- and high-voltage systems while maintaining compliance with all applicable safety standards and electrical codes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment, manufacturing machinery, and facility electrical systems.

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems, production equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, components, transformers, circuit breakers, motors, and wiring to identify hazards, wear, or potential failures.

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical equipment, wiring, conduit, lighting, control panels, and electrical infrastructure.

• Diagnose, install, troubleshoot, and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor controls, and related automation equipment.

• Troubleshoot and maintain both low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Work with PLCs, automated systems, and power distribution equipment to support production operations.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and technical manuals.

• Assist in the design, support, assembly, and construction of electrical components for prototype and production equipment.

• Adhere to all company safety standards, OSHA regulations, NFPA guidelines, and applicable electrical codes.

•Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (Limbal) to document work performed, materials used, and repairs made.

•Assist in design, support, assembly, and building electrical components for prototype and production equipment including starter panels, joystick boxes, junction boxes, timer boxes, and others.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

•Maintains a clean, safe working environment.

•Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•High school diploma or equivalent.

•Five+ years related experience or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, preventive maintenance, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, electrical troubleshooting, and manufacturing equipment repair.

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing, industrial, or production equipment required.

• Experience working with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor controls, and automated equipment preferred.

• Experience working with low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems required.

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.

• OSHA-30 and/or NFPA 70E Certificate of Completion preferred.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.

•Frequently/ loud noise (examples: metal can manufacturing, large earth-moving equipment).
