We are seeking a highly motivated AutoCAD Drafter to join our dynamic design team! In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and detailed technical drawings using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Your expertise will support architectural, engineering, and construction projects by translating concepts into clear, comprehensive schematics and construction documentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative building projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards while utilizing cutting-edge 2D and 3D modeling as well as BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools. Your work will be instrumental in bringing designs to life, supporting project teams from conception through construction.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D drawings and schematics for architectural, mechanical, and structural systems using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Create accurate 3D models and visualizations with tools such as SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, and MicroStation to enhance project presentations.
- Prepare comprehensive construction detail documentation that aligns with building codes and project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to review designs, resolve drafting issues, and ensure accuracy of all drawings.
- Utilize BIM tools like Revit and ArchiCAD for building information modeling to streamline project workflows and improve coordination across disciplines.
- Conduct building code analysis to verify compliance with local regulations and industry standards during the drafting process.
- Assist in system design projects involving mechanical design, interior design schematics, or graphic design elements as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction detail documentation and the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
- Experience with building code analysis and ensuring designs meet all relevant building code requirements.
- Skilled in 3D CAD modeling and BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools to create detailed digital representations of structures.
- Familiarity with CAD software for system design, mechanical design, interior design schematics, or graphic design projects.
- Ability to perform drafting tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of precision and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of construction experience is a plus; understanding of building information systems enhances collaboration across project teams.
