About this position

Host / Hostess – Procida Restaurant

Procida Restaurant is seeking a warm, polished, and hospitality-driven Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team in New Orleans.

The host is the first and last impression of our restaurant, so we are looking for someone who is welcoming, organized, professional, and comfortable managing a busy dining room while making every guest feel genuinely cared for.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests

  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and the waitlist

  • Coordinate table assignments and pacing with servers and management

  • Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries

  • Communicate special requests, celebrations, and guest needs to the service team

  • Maintain an organized and welcoming entrance and host stand

  • Assist with resetting tables and other FOH duties when needed

  • Help ensure a smooth flow of service throughout the dining room

What We're Looking For

  • Friendly, confident, and professional personality

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to remain calm and gracious during busy service

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Team-oriented attitude

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred

  • Experience with reservation systems is a plus

  • Evening and weekend availability
