Role Summary
Responsible for creating accurate 2D/3D AutoCAD drawings that document existing facility gridlines, water mains, wastewater piping, and other underground/above‐ground utilities. This role supports engineers and designers by producing clean, scalable base plans that allow new designs to be developed around verified existing conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed AutoCAD 2D/3D drawings showing structural gridlines, water distribution systems, wastewater networks, and related infrastructure.
  • Import PDFs, scale them accurately, and overlay markups or traced geometry to convert field or legacy documents into usable CAD backgrounds.
  • Interpret site plans, utility maps, as‐builts, and field data to create precise, organized layers and linework.
  • Maintain drawing standards, naming conventions, and layer discipline to ensure clarity for downstream designers.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to verify existing conditions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Produce updated plan sets as new information becomes available.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D (Civil 3D experience a plus).
  • Strong ability to scale, align, and mark PDFs within AutoCAD.
  • Experience drafting utility systems (water, wastewater, storm, or industrial piping).
  • Understanding of gridline systems, building layouts, and site infrastructure.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, as‐builts, and survey documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred

  • Experience with GIS data, point clouds, or survey imports.
  • Previous As-Built experience
  • Familiarity with industrial facilities, municipal utilities, or site development.
