Build Relationships. Create Opportunities. Shape the Future of Clinical Research.
My client is seeking an organized, relationship-driven professional with direct clinical trial experience to help strengthen its presence across the clinical research industry.
This role is focused on developing CRO relationships, identifying new study opportunities, conducting targeted outreach, and coordinating marketing and conference activities to keep them visible and top of mind with clinical research partners.
You'll take ownership of an important function that connects clinical research expertise with relationship development and early-stage business opportunities. You'll work closely with leadership and the Business Development team to strengthen existing CRO partnerships, establish new connections, and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
This is not a traditional, quota-driven sales role. The focus is on building relationships, initiating conversations, gathering market intelligence, and creating opportunities for the wider team—not personally closing contracts.
The position is fully remote within the United States, with approximately 4–5 established industry conferences annually.
What You'll Do
CRO Relationship Development & Targeted Outreach
- Build, strengthen, and manage relationships with existing CRO partners, ensuring consistent communication and ongoing engagement.
- Establish a regular cadence of meetings and follow-ups with key CRO contacts to maintain visibility and develop long-term partnerships.
- Identify new CROs and map organizational structures to locate relevant decision-makers and clinical trial stakeholders.
- Conduct targeted outreach to establish new relationships, arrange introductory meetings, and facilitate confidentiality disclosure agreements (CDAs) as appropriate.
- Research CRO pipelines, upcoming studies, therapeutic areas, and potential opportunities relevant to our research capabilities.
- Use CRO relationships and market intelligence to identify potential study opportunities and expand the organization's reach.
- Coordinate with Business Development and leadership to progress relationships and facilitate introductions when opportunities arise.
- Maintain accurate contact records, outreach activity, meeting notes, and follow-up actions in Salesforce or other tracking systems.
Marketing & Industry Visibility
- Manage a consistent LinkedIn posting schedule to maintain Adams Clinical's visibility across the clinical research community.
- Coordinate straightforward external communications, including principal investigator (PI) spotlights, company updates, conference announcements, and research-related highlights.
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify relevant content that showcases the organization's clinical research capabilities and therapeutic expertise.
- Ensure conference participation and other important company updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner.
- Help maintain a consistent external presence so they remains visible to CROs, sponsors, and other industry partners.
Conference Coordination & Relationship Development
- Support approximately 4–5 established industry conferences annually.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify priority contacts and arrange meetings around conference attendance.
- Research attendee lists, identify relevant CRO and sponsor contacts, and prioritize outreach opportunities.
- Coordinate pre-conference announcements, introductory outreach, scheduling links, and meeting logistics.
- Help the Business Development team maximize opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and establish new connections.
- Conduct follow-up outreach after conferences to maintain engagement and advance promising relationships.
Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification
- Research CROs, clinical research organizations, relevant stakeholders, and emerging study opportunities.
- Map CRO contacts and organizational structures to identify the right people for relationship development.
- Monitor relevant clinical trial activity and therapeutic areas to help identify potential opportunities.
- Organize market intelligence and relationship information to support outreach priorities and internal business development efforts.
- Track outreach, engagement, meetings, follow-ups, and relationship progression to help measure the effectiveness of these activities.
What We're Looking For
- Direct experience in the clinical trial environment is required, preferably within a contract research organization (CRO) or clinical research site.
- A solid understanding of clinical trials and how CROs, sponsors, and research sites interact.
- Experience working with CROs, sponsors, research sites, or other clinical trial stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage external contacts professionally and confidently.
- Experience with targeted outreach, account development, client relationships, partnerships, feasibility, site engagement, or business development is highly valued.
- The ability to research organizations, identify decision-makers, and develop a structured approach to outreach and follow-up.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage contacts, meetings, priorities, and ongoing relationship-development activities.
- Clear written communication skills and the ability to create straightforward professional content for LinkedIn and other external communications.
- Comfort coordinating conference-related outreach, meetings, announcements, and logistics.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, CRM systems, or other contact-management tools is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in neuroscience, psychiatry, neurology, Alzheimer's disease, or other CNS clinical research areas is a plus.
Who Will Thrive in This Role?
This opportunity is well suited to someone who understands the clinical research industry and enjoys the relationship-building side of the business.
You might come from a CRO background in client services, clinical operations, site engagement, feasibility, or partnerships. You might have worked at a clinical research site and developed experience engaging with CROs and sponsors. Or you may already have experience in clinical research business development or inside sales and want a position focused more on relationship development than traditional sales closing.
The common thread is that you understand the clinical trial environment, enjoy connecting with people, and know how to turn relationships and industry knowledge into opportunities.
You'll need to be comfortable initiating conversations, following up consistently, researching new contacts, and managing an ongoing pipeline of relationship-development activities.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working independently, and helping build a stronger industry presence for a growing clinical research organization.
