Moceri operates in partnership with Sunrise Produce with coverage across Southern California and an expansive product portfolio across produce, grocery, dairy, cheese, and other categories.
Territory: Greater San Diego Area
Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven Produce/Foodservice Sales Representative to grow and manage a portfolio of customers across restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, and independent foodservice operators.
This role is responsible for developing new business, managing accounts, and delivering solutions tailored to each customer’s operational and menu needs. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the foodservice industry including fresh produce and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management & Customer Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with independent restaurants, multi-unit operators, hotels, resorts, hospitality groups, and healthcare facilities
- Conduct regular in-person customer visits
- Serve as a trusted advisor on product selection, seasonality, and cost management
Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Prospect and onboard new customers
- Manage full sales cycle
Product Expertise & Category Management:
- Maintain knowledge of Sunrise’s product portfolio including fresh produce, grocery, dairy, cheese, bread, and other categories
- Provide product recommendations aligned with menu and budget needs
Qualifications:
- 5+ years foodservice sales or restaurant/hospitality experience
- Must have fresh produce knowledge, other categories a plus
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Well organized, self-starter
