Residential Support Staff / Direct Care Staff — 2 Openings
CARES Initiative | Greensboro, NC
Pay: $15 per hour
CARES Initiative is hiring two dependable, compassionate employees for our Level III residential group home serving adolescent males ages 12–17.
We are looking for staff who can provide consistent supervision, maintain professional boundaries, and remain calm during challenging situations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive home environment.
- Supervise residents and assist with daily routines, meals, hygiene, homework, and activities.
- Follow individual treatment, behavior, and safety plans.
- Use approved de-escalation techniques.
- Transport residents to school, appointments, and activities as assigned.
- Complete shift notes, incident reports, and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Assist with medication procedures as trained and authorized.
- Communicate concerns promptly and work cooperatively with the team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with adolescents, behavioral health, or residential care preferred.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to maintain boundaries while treating residents with patience and respect.
- Willingness to complete required training and employment screenings.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for transportation duties.
- CPR/First Aid and crisis intervention training preferred.
